Reaching Home
Reaching Home: Canada’s Homelessness Strategy is a community-based program aimed at preventing and reducing homelessness across Canada, funded by the Government of Canada.
In the Greater Vancouver region, the Designated Stream is delivered by the Community Entity, Lu’ma Native Housing Society, in partnership with Vancity Community Foundation.
The Community Advisory Board (CAB) is the local organizing committee responsible for setting direction and priorities to address homeless in the community or region.
What we do
- Fund organizations that help people at risk of homelessness stay housed through emergency rent support, tenant advocacy and eviction prevention
- Support outreach and wraparound services for people experiencing homelessness including youth, women and children fleeing violence and seniors
- Invest in building and renovating transitional housing and recovery facilities across Metro Vancouver
