Living Wage BC

At Living Wage BC, we believe that paying people well builds stronger communities.
Our vision is a British Columbia where every worker earns enough to thrive, not just survive.

The living wage is the hourly rate a worker needs to make to cover life’s essentials. It’s the tipping point between financial stress and stability, and a pathway out of working poverty and into full participation in civic, social and cultural life.

Today, over 500 employers across the province have made the commitment to pay a living wage. Together, we’re building a fairer economy – one job, one worker and one community at a time.
