BC Rent Bank is a provincial organization dedicated to preventing eviction and supporting housing stability for renters across British Columbia.
Our mission is to help renters experiencing a temporary crisis to stay housed, by leading a provincial network of rent banks that deliver financial assistance, referrals and other meaningful housing stability supports.
Through strategic partnerships with organizations like BC Housing and Binta Financial, data-driven renter market advocacy and a community-based approach, we help thousands of renters stay housed during short-term crises.
Providing vital supports for renters
We provide financial support for low to modest income individuals and families in B.C., as well as connect them to services such as:
- Government benefits and housing supports
- Financial literacy and debt relief
- Physical needs such as food and clothing
- Referrals that support physical, mental and emotional well-being
